The LI-COR Environmental Education Fund (LEEF) program provides grants that cover a significant portion of each LEEF instrument package’s costs for any eligible institution. To apply, simply complete an online application. These are reviewed on a continuing basis, so you will be notified in approximately two to three weeks.

There are several ways to compile a well-prepared application to increase your chance of successful funding. For instance, a detailed course proposal outlining the use of the LEEF package in your classroom can be very helpful. Determine the grant for which you are going to apply, then get the necessary proposal and submission instructions for that grant. Some grants require a letter of intent by the appropriate deadline. Letters of intent may need to include the scope of your proposal and a proposal outline. Review the scope and outline of courses that have been implemented at other universities, then develop a plan that best suits your particular goals.
