In-house Repair

Repair services at the LI‑COR facilities in Bad Homburg are provided for selected instruments (including Odyssey® Imagers, and the Pearl® Trilogy Small Animal Imaging System) and are a cost effective option for repair, maintenance, calibration, and upgrades. Contact your local LI‑COR representative for more details.

Remote Support

Remote support is available, but may be restricted to updates or evaluation of minor on-site problems. Contact your local LI‑COR representative for more details.

Decontamination

A Decontamination Certificate (in German or in English) is required for all instruments returned to LI‑COR GmbH.

Proteomics Support Agreements

All support agreements are valid for 12 months and ensure that you have complete coverage for your instrument, including the services described in the “Support Agreement Terms & Conditions” document.

One Preventive Maintenance Agreement is included in all support agreements for proteomics instruments (except the C-DiGit® Blot Scanner Extended Warranty).

Goals and Benefits of General Preventive Maintenance

  1. With preventive maintenance, you will optimize and maximize the scientific, operational, and financial efficiencies of your lab.

    Instrument downtime causes additional cost, especially during high workloads. Reduce downtime due to equipment failure with preventative maintenance. Preventive maintenance reduces the risk that an important instrument is offline when needed.

  2. Comply with your lab’s Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

    GLP requires that instruments in a lab subject to regulatory system checks have a documented preventive maintenance program. Overlooked preventive maintenance can be easily found in an audit.

    GLP requires that laboratory instruments operate within manufacturer’s specifications. Instrument performance might decline over time as parts and components age. LI‑COR’s Verify Normal Operation Tests and PM-Reports are designed to ensure the instruments are working within manufacturer’s specifications.

  3. Extends lifetime of an instrument

    Instruments subject to inconsistent or no maintenance might have a shorter lifetime. Regular preventive maintenance reduces the likelihood of costly emergency repairs.

  4. Predictive Maintenance

    Preventive Maintenance is also predictive maintenance. Our experienced Service Engineers and Sales and Support Scientists can anticipate upcoming problems and provide advice for taking corrective action and help to avoid instrument failures.

  1. Daily labor and travel are charged at flat rates, with a one-day minimum and in whole day increments. The rate period begins when the technician departs from the home office and ends when they arrive back at the home office. Prices are subject to change and based on prices in effect at the time of order.
  2. Reagent discounts are not valid with any other offers and must be purchased directly from LI-COR.
  3. Empiria Studio Software is not included with the Pearl Premium Support Contract.
