IRDye Infrared Fluorescent Dyes are optimized for excitation and detection in the near-infrared spectrum. These dyes deliver enhanced sensitivity and higher signal-to-noise ratios due to low background autofluorescence in the near-infrared region.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which dyes will work with my Odyssey Imager?
To find a dye compatible with your imager, check the Detection Label Reference. If you do not see the detection label you want to use, check its spectral characteristics to make sure it is compatible.
What is the difference between IRDye 680RD and IRDye 680LT?
IRDye 680RD is recommended for most application and all plate-based assays. IRDye 680LT is a very bright dye but will amplify all signal–including background. IRDye 680LT can be used at a much greater dilution (1:10,000 – 1:50,000 or higher) and can be very cost-effective when doing the same assay repeatedly but do tend to require additional optimization.
