IRDye® Protein Labeling Kits Answer Portal
For example, "reconstitute secondary antibody".
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available on the SDS Search Page.
IRDye Protein Labeling Kits are based on a simple conjugation protocol that uses fast, spin column cleanup with resulting purity equivalent to purification by dialysis. IRDye Protein Labeling Kits can be used to label antibodies and other proteins for applications where fluorophore-conjugated antibodies are required. Possible applications vary based on the IRDye Infrared Dye used for labeling. Please see the pack insert for your product for supported applications.
Note: IRDye 680LT dyes and labeling kits are not recommended for In‑Cell Western™ Assay or in vivo imaging applications.
Example Applications: Western Blot, In‑Cell Western Assay, Small Animal Imaging, Tissue Section Imaging
Which labeling kit should I use?
High Molecular Weight Kits
High molecular weight kits are optimized for labeling 1.0 mg amounts of protein with molecular weight 45 - 200 kDa.
Low Molecular Weight Kits
Low molecular weight kits are optimized for labeling 1.0 mg of protein with molecular weight 14 - 45 kDa.
Microscale Kits
Microscale kits are optimized for labeling 100 μg of protein with molecular weight 14 - 200 kDa.
Note: The IRDye Protein Labeling Kits are not optimized for labeling peptides. The minimum recommended protein molecular weight for these kits is 7 kDa. See the IRDye Peptide Labeling Application Guide for more information.
